Negotiations with Radio Communications Agency to issue 4 HF frequencies in the 4, 6, 8 & 12 Mhz bands. The SFPA HQ in Edinburgh needed to talk to ships & aircraft undertaking surveillance of illegal fishing off the Scottish coastline. The maximum distances that communication would be needed is 200 miles west of the remote island of Rockall, a distance of 600 miles from Edinburgh. The spread of frequencies would be needed for reliable communication throughout the day.
